Bootcamp style workout. Group will meet at the Clock Tower on Levis Commons Blvd. The Clock Tower is located in the traffic circle near Funny Bone Comedy Club. Also a great night for some fellowship. The PAX typically head out for some second F at one of the nearby establishments.

    Convergence

    37 men decided to start the New Year off right by coming to THE COMMONS. Stark passed out hats to those that entered the Winter challenge, and over 80 people have entered. Despite numberous announcements, Hazmat never heard picked up his hat. Stark is needing to order some additional hat, he only ordered 75. This is a great sign.

    Q = Houdini, Sipe, TuPac
    PAX = Hazmat, Charmin, Casper, John Henry, Bullock, Razorback Dollywood, Flo, Poodle, Check Mate, Stamper, Raven, Patriot, Bambi, Huffy, Mayor, Lavar, Gap, Jimmy Dean, Bourbon, Chew Toy, Dutch, Stark, Nimbus, Danica, Mater, Sideshow, Gepetto, Artois, Ticket, Chanel, Butter Maker, Thai Guy, Huckleberry

    Because the field was very wet, the beatdown took place in the two boulevards in front of the hotels. Several paserbys enjoyed watching us work out, and at times falling while doing buddy carries. From the looks, it appears these sad clowns really wanted to be part of the fun.

    THE THANG
    The convergence was co Qed by Houdini, Sipe and Tupac.
    Houdini: Welcomed everyone to The Commons and brought our FNG to the center. He thanked us for coming out and explained that people will be earning 1, 2 or 3 points toward the winter challenge. Houdini explained what F3 is and what it stands for. TuPac: Reviewed the mission of F3 and Sipe: explained the 5 core principles.

    The warmup was lead by Tupac with 21’s. No punishments were given for failure, that would come later. Sipe then lead windmills. The group was split into two, one group to be lead by Houdini and the other by Sipe. We finished the warm up with about a ½ mile run.

    Houdini lead his group in buddy carry relay races. As the team waited for the relay they were required to do Lt Dans. That made round 2 and round 3 of the buddy carry especially difficult. Prizes were given to the winners, best 2 out of 3 with the prize being F3 stickers, Cool! The races were spirited. Houdini in the second round was lucky enough to get to carry Artois both there and back for a need of “Modifying as needed”. Artois is suffering from a back injury.

    Sipe lead his group in Elevators. The darn elevator seemed to be broken or kids were pushing all the buttons. As a bonus he gave us windshield wipers, more merkins and prayer LBCs.

    After 10 minutes the Qs traded groups and repeated the exercises.

    The last 10 minutes the two groups recombined and gathered around the clock tower. TuPac lead them in 21’s with only two failures which resulted in 10 burpies. The PAX are quick learners and there were no failures on round 2 of 21’s. Next exercise were declined merkins. The grpoup had to hold plank while waiting. The first person did the merkin, then the second etc dominoed around the clock. For the finale, we Guantanamoed and with such a large circle it seemed to never end. Burbon was last one around and he took his time to add just a little bit more to the misery.

    We ended with announcements, handing out hats did the COR, NOR the 6 and naming the FNG (his name is Check Mate and is Poodle’s son). Great attendance and the Q’s were honored to lead. 31 PAX attended the 2nd F event. Great turnout, nice fellowship and a good time was had by all.
