Boot camp style workout. At Woodland Park. Two large Playgrounds, Frisbee Golf Course, 1 Mile Dirt Track, HUGE Field.  Plenty of space here to craft a diabolical smokefest for even the strongest PAX.

Entrance is off East Boundary. Kip Boulis Drive.

SATURDAYS always followed up with 2nd F (fellowship) at Lamplight Cafe and Bakery located at 121 W. Indiana ave. Great opportunity to get to know members of F3Toledo and refuel from the workout.

    On the last Saturday and second to last day of the Winter Challenge, many of the F3 PAX decided to stay up late at the Jimmy V fundraiser. This meant many escaped joining Mercy for his Q of the Robbie Miller WOD.

    Mercy had led this once before at the Battlefield. The main difference was that beatdown was in the light and there was no rain.

    In the dark and rain, Mercy described the beatdown, and we headed over to the mulch playground where we could use the pullup bars.

    6 reps of each: pullups, burpee sqauts, 4 count mountain climbers, turkish getups.

    This beatdown was ruck friendly. Several guys used their rucks. It was a good time. Partially through the beatdown, Mercy added the choice of lunges or bear crawls between the rounds. This broke up the monotony, and everybody loved it.

    The soaked ground really put a damper on my plans. If I had to do it over again, I would do the whole thing in cadence. Doing this with a partner helped get the work done.

    After several rounds, we finished out our remaining exercises, and went to the picnic tables where we did 30 seconds on, 30 seconds rest of tricep dips and merkins. 3 rounds of 30/30 for each exercise.

    We finished with Jack webs. OYO.

    A lesson I have from this is more should be done in cadence. Obviously, 30 seconds AMRAP is not meant for cadence, but the majority of the beatdown lends itself to this format, and it is better for the PAX.
