   Froman & Daubfunkel’s Smells of Science was underway a few minutes late. On the good advice of Pixar, our start was moved back to 7:45 to let the rain move through.

   31 brave men, lured by the promise of the serene sounds and smells of the seventies, made their way through the gloom this morning, despite the ominous threat of death from the charge of a cumulonimbus cloudburst.

   The Thang:
   Daubfunkel got the morning going with a welcome to our FNG and the principles of F3.

   Mosey to the front field, where Froman warmed up the PAX with:
   Smurf SSH x20 (SSH in Squat Position)
   WMD Merkins (Wide x10, Mid x10, Diamond x10)
   Flutter kicks x20
   Eight Count Body Builders x20

   Mosey to the south practice field, where the Daubfunkel had the PAX partner up for:
   15 Yards of Broken Wheelbarrows (hold one leg)
   15 yard Bear Crawl
   15 Yard Lunges
   15 Yard Crawl Bear
   15 Yard Broken Wheelbarrow (other leg)
   Sprint to the start, swap positions, repeato

   Mosey to the track for Froman’s “Catch Me if You Can”. Partner up and while partner 1 is pumping out 10 merkins, partner 2 starts running the track backwards. Once done with the merkins, partner 1 sprints to catch partner 2. Once caught, partners swap roles and continue for one lap.
   Repeato with 10 Squats.
   Repeato with 10 Imperial Walkers.

   Mosey back to the south practice field for COP #2. Daubfunkel got it rolling with:
   Partner Jack Webb’s up to 10×40 (funny how heavy those hands get)
   Lt Dans (like Jack Webb’s, but Squats and lunges in multiples of 4.
   Guantanamo
   The Merkin Minute

   Mosey back to the shovel flag for some count-o-rama and Name-o-rama where we welcomed one FNG, Mike Sample, now known as “Brolin”

   It was a privilege to lead this great group of men this morning. You guys push us to accomplish more than we thought possible.
