Where it all started! Typical routine: warm-up with Merkins, stretching, side-straddle-hops, etc.  Then proceed to the track and/or field for running mixed with strength training.  Finish off with the C.O.P (circle of pain) for merkins, planks, ab work, supermans, etc.

SATURDAYS always followed up with 2nd F (fellowship) at local restaurant (changes periodically, they will announce location typically in the COT after the beatdown). Great opportunity to get to know members of F3 Toledo and refuel from the workout.

    Miranda Q’d for the first time at The Fuse. 8 HIM posted in the rain, and after a quick warmup, put on rucksacks to attack the following “Like a Rock // pick-up truck” themed beatdown (all with the help of Bob Seger):

    Station 1 – Standin’ Arrow Straight
    10 Merkins
    20 Deep Squats
    (Take ruck off)
    8 Ruck Curls (or 16, if using two arms)
    20 Klinger Kicks w/ruck on midsection (3 count cadence)
    (Put ruck back on and run 100M to next station)

    Station 2 – Chargin’ from the Gate
    10 Diamond Merkins
    20 Lunges
    (Take ruck off)
    20 Thrusters w/ruck
    20 LBCs w/ruck on chest
    (Put ruck back on and run 100M to next station)

    Station 3 – Carryin’ the Weight
    10 Hand Release Merkins
    20 Speedskaters
    (Take ruck off)
    15 Overhead Tricep Extensions w/ruck
    10 American Hammers w/ruck (2-1)
    (Put ruck back on and run 100M to next station)

    Station 4 – I See Myself Again: Like a Rock
    20 Calf Raises
    (Take ruck off)
    20 Chest Presses w/ruck
    15 Upright Rows w/ruck
    20 Crunchy Frogs w/ruck on chest
    (Put ruck back on and run 100M to Station 1)

    HIMs modified as necessary due to the rain, and all completed at least 2 circuits in ~30 minutes. The PAX reconvened under the stadium entrance gate to finish with Seger’s 6-minute “Like a Rock” ong, planking until he sang “Like a Rock” and performing a hand release merkin before returning to the plank position (and so on).

    I was honored to close out the Winter Challenge with a tough Q at a unique AO. We had some miserable fun in the rain as brothers.

    All 8 men posted at Panera for 2nd F points.
