Bootcamp style workout. Huge AO! 1/2 mile and .9 mile track. 2 Large pieces of playgroup equipment for pullups and hanging exercises. Over half a dozen soccer and lacrosse fields. The possibilities are endless for your Monday beatdowns!
The First Monday of each month will be a Murph workout in honor of Lt. (SEAL) Michael Murphy.

PAX: Buttermaker, Mr. Bean, Casper, Spaulding, Tupac, Woodstock (Q)
Warmed up with a lap to show the path to be used during beatdown.
Running was in the air, and water was on the ground, so YHC scouted out the driest 1/4 mile route and chose the hard, windswept parking lot over the sodden, swampy grass fields. Though it was tempting. 😉
The Thang: Using a shiny US nickel, a good ol’ sea to summit drybag, and some neatly folded business card sized notes with the days work on them, YHC laid out the plan. YHC flips the nickel, heads we run a lap tails the next PAX up would draw a note card. All cards go back into the bag. PAX completed, in no particular order:
8 laps = 2 miles
20W/20N/20D OYO merkins
50 4 count cadence SSH
20 OYO Lt Dan’s
10 cadence burpees
25 OYO V Ups
50 OYO Squats
At the end, we went for broke with 2 PAX each taking a note until time was called. We lucked into it being an all-core affair with the following:
1 minute 6″ leg hold, 25 (2 is 1) American Hammers, 70 OYO Lbc’s, and 50 4 count cadence Plank Jacks.
Ended with a COR, NOR, YHC was the 6.
Prayers were offered up for healing, clear headed decision making, peace, new and expecting fathers, and a return of spring.
