boot camp, Perrysburg
Boot camp style workout. At Woodland Park. Two large Playgrounds, Frisbee Golf Course, 1 Mile Dirt Track, HUGE Field. Plenty of space here to craft a diabolical smokefest for even the strongest PAX.
Entrance is off East Boundary. Kip Boulis Drive.
SATURDAYS always followed up with 2nd F (fellowship) at Lamplight Cafe and Bakery located at 121 W. Indiana ave. Great opportunity to get to know members of F3Toledo and refuel from the workout.
Hold Down the Fort
Since we are supporting the launch of a neighboring suburb (The Battlefield at Fallen Timbers), several of our main PAX were splitting their support and attendance this morning. Hence the title of this workout.
QIC – Stark
PAX – Casper, Janney, ThaiGuy, Isosceles, Buttermaker, Huckleberry, Ponzi, Nimbus, Huffy, Montoya, Tommy “Bongo” Davis (FNG) Brought by Montoya
Part 1.) Cadence –
1.) Next Exercise, pause, name it
2.) Starting Position, pause, move
3.) In cadence, pause, exercise….and then YHC kept forgetting the recover command.
Hand Release Merkins, Seal Jacks, Imperial Walkers
Part 2.) Square Dance – 2 Teams
4 Cones spaced 20-25 yards apart in a square
1 team member completes the circuit at a time while the rest of the team performs exercise at start
The team members not running circuit also do burpees simultaneously with the running PAX as they hit each cone.
Round 1.) Side Shuffle -> Sprint -> Side Shuffle -> Backwards Run
2 Burpees at each cone
PAX waiting at start perform Quick feet at starting position while each PAX runs the cone circuit, Drop to Burpees when each teammate hits cone.
Round 2.) Frog jump -> Lateral Ape Hop -> Frog jump -> Lateral Ape Hop
2 Burpees at each cone
Hold Hollow Man at starting position while each PAX runs cone circuit, Pop to Burpees when each teammate hits cone.
Had a third round intended but the animal movements, specifically the ape hop, were brutal and slowed this relay down considerably. But the PAX never quit!
Part 3.) Hold the Line
PAX in line, shoulder to shoulder. One at a time Sprint to Betty the Bell and back to the line. Then next PAX goes.
Round 1.) Hold Al Gore, Burpee with each ring
Round 2.) SSH, Lt Dan with each ring – or a few Triple Sky Jumps courtesy of Jennay. He learned them from PAX down range recently. It is basically a Lt. Dan, With a jump squat and a Burpee, so no big deal really.
Round 3.) Hold Plank, Plank Up/Down with ring Round
Round 4.) Quick Feet, Burpee with each ring
COR, NOR, Six was Huckleberry (Double Respect!) and for a brief moment the Winter Challenge point leader since TuPac was away for a week. I am constantly inspired by our PAX in the respect or double respect arena. They lead in so many ways. Q’s, posts, fitness, humility, availability, fellowship, and much more.
Always an Honor, Always my Pleasure
