Bluto
After a brief introduction where Bluto stated the principles of F3 we were all matched up with our partner for the day, a cinder block! After everyone grabbed a cinder block from Bluto’s truck we circled up again and did 25 side straddle hops to get the blood moving.
Bluto setup 4 stations up and down Faith Hill and the goal was to carry the cinder block over your head the entire time. When you made it to the first station you had to do 20 squats with the weight still over your head. Once finished you continued to run/jog to the next station where you had to do 20 leg lifts with the weight over your head. The next station was the tree by the creek and there we got to take a break and do 20 merkins. After moseying back up the hill we had the 4th station and 20 tricep extensions. We proceeded to keep this going through 4 rounds(20, 15, 10, 5).
Once we got the PAX back together we circled up on Faith Hill for two rounds of Guantanamo! The kicker here was that you had to keep the weight extended behind your head. It seemed much harder when you were trying to use your abdominal muscles to hold up the cinder block and keep yourself from rolling down the hill at the same time! Great ab workout there! After the two rounds of Guantanamo we all moseyed up to the brick wall and did two minutes of wall sits. Brita suggested we put the cinder block over our heads for some extra punishment. Mickey jumped in as well and had us doing some curls with the cinder blocks while we finished up the two minutes of misery. After the wall we circled up and did 35 cinder block curls, 15cinder block tricep extensions, and 15 cinder block leg lifts. Since everyone was really hustling we were ahead of schedule and The Colonel suggested we go one more round of 20 around the field. So, that is what we did. We circled back up and finished up with some Michael Phelps to get some feeling back in our arms. We then did counterama and namarama. We didn’t have any FNG’s today so Bluto took a few minutes to share his story and his reason for showing up every morning in the gloom. We then ended in a COT where Bluto led us in a prayer for the following:
-H2 and his wife
-Sea Bass and the loss of his mother
-Mad dog’s mother in law
Brita father-cancer
Ozzie’s father in law
Mickey’s father in law
Animal’s father in law
Mark Forbath and his cancer treatment
Those affected by Hurricane Harvey
Thanks to all who showed up today and for the 4 PAX members who HC’d and then proceeded to fartsack. It was an honor leading all of you today.
