Boot camp style workout.
Typical routine: warm-up with Merkins, stretching, side-straddle-hops, etc. Then proceed to the playground equipment and/or field for running mixed with strength training. Finish off with the C.O.P (circle of pain) for merkins, planks, ab work, supermans, etc.
SATURDAYS always followed up with 2nd F (fellowship) at Executive Diner on Sylvania.
13 PaX joined me (Minnie) in the gloom at the oasis. We started fast with a mosey over to Start High. We circled up and performed several warm up moves in cadence (Nordic tracks, merkins, Freddie Mercury’s, SSHs, big boys and elevator merkins). We mosied back and got to the thang. To honor the new year we did ladders that totaled 19. On side we performed a leg exercise (squats, jump squats, Lt Dans). We then did a suicide sprint to the other side where we performed a merkin variation (diamond, military, normal/wide).
We then divided the field into 3rds. We performed one move for 1/3 of the field (crab walk, frog jump, bear crawl) and then formed a Socrates shield wall (ala the movie 300) and lunged as one unit (it went better than expected). After 6 rounds of that we circled up for 2 rounds of Guantanamo.
