What the ruck is a ruck? A hike with a weighted backpack (approx 30 lbs) while stopping along the brisk walk to do some invigorating exercise. Excellent 1st F (fitness) and 2nd F (fellowship). If an FNG (Friendly New Guy) is a bit timid to post for a workout the ruck is a great intro to the pax.
Hey guys – sorry for the delay on the ruck backblast. Work has been a bear this week. But nothing motivates like the doom of 50 pull ups….
Appreciate the patience for going a little over our 6:30 end time. Also learned that cement and bear crawls do not go together like peas and carrots. Note taken.
BB – Perrysburg Rambling Ruck
15 Pax / No FNG’s: Deuce, Buttermaker, Boulder, Spaulding, Shingles, Virus, Bedpan, Stark, Turbo, Tots, Shrinkage, Charming, Monopoly, Schizo, Q: Baxter
Started with a small welcome party consisting of 20 side straddle hops, 20 flutter kicks, and 4 ascending curb crawls, which quickly descended into chaos.
Then set out for a 3.8 mile ruck which took us through the Ft. Meigs neighborhood, through the Necropolis, past a funny looking squirrel, down 6th, past the Wall, and back to the Fort. Finished with NOR and COT and a thoughtful payer from Stark
Mile 1: 14:20
Mile 2: 15:45
Mile 3: 15:32
Mile 3.8: 13:53
