Boot camp style workout. At Woodland Park. Two large Playgrounds, Frisbee Golf Course, 1 Mile Dirt Track, HUGE Field.  Plenty of space here to craft a diabolical smokefest for even the strongest PAX.

Entrance is off East Boundary. Kip Boulis Drive.

SATURDAYS always followed up with 2nd F (fellowship) at Lamplight Cafe and Bakery located at 121 W. Indiana ave. Great opportunity to get to know members of F3Toledo and refuel from the workout.

    The Thang:
    YHC started out with lengthy disclaimer, principles, etc to our 3 FNG’s. Goal of the workout was to bring some weight and stations set up with partner to push you and keep it moving the entire time.
    Kicked it off with a Run towards a “tree” and yes there are many Tree’s at the Fortress so YHC thought he picked one that was easily the center/target tree but the pax was clear in questioning “what tree” … Run to the tree do 7 Merkins, run back 7 merkins = x 3 and – approx. distance was 40-50 yds. Nice warmup. Catch a 10 second rest and then Repeato on the run except switch out merkins for jump squats x 3. 1 more time except for this round of 3 we did 7 burpees each time to the delight of all in attendance.
    Once we did the warmup runs/PT had each pax grab a partner and get ready for some stations. Stations were as follows (not in exact order):
    60 lb Sandbag Squats
    25 or 15 lb slam balls
    Renegade Rows w/ merkins (25 or 20 lb Dbells)
    Lunges with Charlotte (40 lb PVC tubes courtesy of Bambi)
    Battle Ropes with Fire Hoses (courtesy of Elena)
    Big Boy Situps
    American Hammers
    Burpees
    Deadlift w/80 lb Sandbags (courtesy of Hedgehog and Bambi)
    Curl and Press – 40 lb Sandbags
    KB Swings – 35 or 50 lbs
    After 1 round (50 seconds on/10 seconds rest to move to next station) at each station we all lined up and bear crawled ~20 yds to the small hill and then bear crawled additional ~30 yds and then once we reached the cement landmark all pax went back to the 6 and bear crawled or lunged with the pax in.
    Back to stations for round 2 (40 seconds on/ 10 seconds rest to next station) of above.
    YHC closed out with many prayer requests and discussion on key topic brought up at start of beatdown and throughout during a couple mini rest opportunities. F3Toledo pax lives EQV and the men that posted took their DRP (Daily Red Pill) by showing up. All of the men, especially those FNG’s taking that 1st step to post and those dealing with outside concerns/distractions made the choice to get out of the fartsack and get better in 1st F. The DRP is the daily initiative to get better each day in not only 1st F but 2nd F and 3rd F as well! A F3 man and most definitely a F3 Toledo man strives for this improvement and acceleration to the be the man they need to be for their families, for their community, their faith and for themselves.
