Boot camp style workout. At Woodland Park. Two large Playgrounds, Frisbee Golf Course, 1 Mile Dirt Track, HUGE Field.  Plenty of space here to craft a diabolical smokefest for even the strongest PAX.

Entrance is off East Boundary. Kip Boulis Drive.

SATURDAYS always followed up with 2nd F (fellowship) at Lamplight Cafe and Bakery located at 121 W. Indiana ave. Great opportunity to get to know members of F3Toledo and refuel from the workout.

We had 20 guys work out today! They were Ponzi, Woodstock, Raven, Stark, Flo, Bambi, Jennay, Patriot, Bourbon, Casper, Nimbus, Thumper, Venom, Buttermaker, Revere, Tupac, Chew Toy, Geppetto, an FNG- James “Cajun” Gaspar and the Q Landslide!

We started off with a quarter mile Indian Run. We then broke off into teams of three. Each team had to complete a circuit of 100 reps of the following exercises: pull ups, burpees, starfish sit ups, Bonnie Blairs, merkins, American Hammers with a cinder block, Thrusters and jump/step ups. While an exercise was taking place, one person from each team was going on an approximate 100 yd run. Some teams were working on a second round of the reps when we regrouped. At that time we circled up and passed two cinder blocks while holding leg lifts, then did merkins on the Q’s count and finished with Quantanomo.

We finished with the nameoroma, the 6th, naming of the FNG and our prayer intentions.

    2 Hr Pre-Ruck and 1 Hour Pre-Run

    Date: 8/8/2018

    Time: 4:30 – 6:30

    Location: The Fortress…aka Woodlands Park

    Q: Bambi

PAX Ruck: Rhonda, Raven, Thumper, John Henry, Patriot, Tupac, Huffy, Bambi

PAX Run: Stark, Bourbon, ChewToy, Dutch, Geppetto, Jennay, Woodstock

    F3: Fitness, Fellowship, Faith

Mission: To plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.

Principles of F3 Workouts: Are free of charge, Are open to all men, Are held outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold, Are led by men who participate in the workout in a rotating fashion, with no training or certification necessary, End with a Circle of Trust

Safety & Disclaimer: I am not a professional, Participate at your own risk, Modify anything as needed & Ask questions at any time.

The Thang: The 2 hr pre-ruck kicked off with 8 PAX, 1 weighted flag, 1 120# sandbag, 1 80# sandbag and 1 40# sand tube and 1 15# Stark Plate. The goal was to ruck as many laps around the Fortress as possible. It was clear in the first lap that we needed more coupons so we grabbed the other two sections of Charlotte upon making our way back to the parking lot on the first lap. At this point we had 335#’s of coupons for 8 PAX. The pace was was around 3 miles per hour and we covered approximately 6 miles in 1 hour and 50 minutes. YHC was very impressed by all PAX. When given the opportunity to solo carry the 120# sandbag everyone stepped up to the occasion, some carrying it for 1/4 or 1/2 mile on their rotation. Patriot was especially a beast, much respect for pushing yourself under tough circumstances.

The Runners covered approximately 4-5 miles depending on their group routes. Geppetto did not get enough and joined the Ruckers for the last 10 minutes. He was promptly rewarded with the 120# sand bag. 🙂

    Ended with Count-O-Rama, Name-O-Rama, CoT

The Six: Tupac was the Six, EH by Casper, loves the HIM in this group and they all keep him coming back, he got his name because he was going through some life changes when he started in F3.
