We stepped of with temps close to 50 degrees with strong winds at about 20 mph. Temps dropped throughout the ruck, with some light rain for a short period.

The Thang: Showing mercy on those who just completed the Cincinnati GORUCK, we opted for a couponless ruck. Instead he goal was to get in as many miles as possible in the hour.

Leaving Harroun Park, we ventured north on Main Street, turning east on Monroe, and then north on Summit for a long trek up to the Ohio/Michigan line. We moved west on Green Street, as the rain began. As we approached Old 223/Main Street the rain let up and we turned back into the wind heading South.

As we entered downtown Sylvania, we detoured west on Erie Street and then north into Memorial Field where we made a short stop for a team photo in front of one of the Tanks on display. Bluto reminded us of the importance of this park, and its dedication to those Sylvanians who gave their lives for our country. He made a great suggestion of taking the time to return in the daylite to visit with your families.

We left Memorial Field and weaved our way back towards Harroun Park via Silica Rd, Monroe Street, and Main Street.

We completed 3.9 miles in 1 hour.

We joined for Countarama, Namearama, and the COT. Prayers for Dauber’s father in law, Stamper’s Co-worker, and my apologies if I left anyone off. Thank you all for allowing me to share my story of the power of prayer.

As always, it is an honor to have the opportunity to Q this great group. It is a testament to the strength and dedication of you men when we have a forecast of 90% chance of rain and 20 mph winds and we post 19 at 5:15 am.
