The Thang: Can it be too cold to ruck? At least 6 men say no to that question! 5 degrees and a steady wind greeted us at 0515 for The Ruckus Part 1. After going over the 5 Core Principles and a brief Disclaimer, we headed out for a tour of the parking lot. Time did wait for a man today – The Colonel was running late so we circled the parking lot to give him a few more minutes. Fortunately he came in as we were finishing up lap #1!

YHC was concerned about the wind chill and made a quick audible as far as the route. We crossed over Main Street into St. Joe’s parking lot and followed the cut-through to Lourdes’ campus. The buildings and trees provided enough protection to keep everyone’s face from freezing off! We made 2 loops around the perimeter of campus and then headed back to Harroun Park.

3.5 miles covered in just over 54 minutes for a pace of 15:27/mile.

COT: Countorama and Nameorama. Prayer intentions for Wake’s friend and Splinter’s brother and sister in law. YHC led the prayer hoping everyone continues to remember the reason for the Christmas season!

    Aye!!

    The Thang:
It was a cold morning, yet 13 brave souls showed up for a morning ruck. The temperature was around 5 degrees (a true “shackleton” possibility).
YHC brought a new coupon to try out. A 4-man carry sled weighted at 90 lbs with a tiny Santa Clause strapped aboard.
Warmed up with 30 SSH (Ho-Ho-Ho Cadence)
    Overall logged 3.5 miles Rucking
Stopped at Faithhill briefly and played reindeer games. Moved the Sled through combination of 21 Merkins, planks, 20 yard bearcrawls. Then shoved the sled down the hill to see how far it would go. (Almost made the creek).

COT: Countorama and Nameorama. Named a FNG the F3 name “Bike Shorts” (Note: Bike Shorts was EH by Ticket). Prayer intentions for Those traveling this holiday season to be safe, For Android’s family and Mailman’s family.

Thank You all for attending. It is always an honor to lead! I do promise to up my level or preparedness for the next one!
