After going over the mission of F3 and the 5 core principles, YHC gave the floor over to Klinger who shared his encouragement of the upcoming GrowRuck09 with the group. He reminded us that the goal of the event is not humiliation or to get us to quit, but to develop us as leaders and to make us better men. It will be hard and stressful, but we will finish as a group.

With that, the Circle took a hard left turn into mumble chatter so YHC called Mayor, who was holding the flag, and set off for our route.

We took off for Northview and charged Faith Hill. We circled the school and YHC was informed that the massive group had split as those of us in the front were going too fast for some. The pace was slowed so the 6 could catch up. We took Silica down to Convent, back to Main and returned to the Ruckus starting point. After circling the cars just to spite Bluto, we planted the flag for our COT

YHC modified the route to allow all to finish on time and we completed the route, finishing with 2.65 miles for about 45 minutes of good livin’. The only coupon we had was the flag. It was truly an amazing sight to behold 30 men rucking together this morning!

Next was COR, NOR and know the 6. We got to hear from Froman who shared his appreciation of the male companionship of F3 and encouraged any last minute decisions to commit to the GrowRuck09.

In the COT, prayers were lifted up for Cogsworth’s brother-in-law, Splinter’s family, those fighting cancer, our troops, those recovering from physical injuries, particularly as we head into the GrowRuck this weekend, those private intentions in our hearts, and for anything else YHC forgot.

Always an honor to lead this group of men who push me to be better every time I post.

    Aye!
