    The Thang:
14 PAX posted for the first Ruckus at the new AO…the yet to be nicknamed Wildwood Metropark.

PAX assembled near the playground for the 5 principals and disclaimer, as YHC tried to stall for a minute to allow for stragglers. We were yet to see Klinger and his coupons, as well as Bluto and Gap. 5:17 and the decision was made to step off. The PAX grabbed the coupons (60 LB sandbag and the “Esse” from GrowRuck, and headed into the woods at the Stranahan trailhead, connecting to the red trail heading SE. We then made our way north on the red trail loop, aka Upland Woods Trail.

Exiting the Upland Woods Trail back we headed SE towards the Stables. At some point we crossed paths with the runners, eventually meeting up with Doyt, who looked relieved to see some F3 guys.

Once we hit the Stables, we doubled back on the red trail until we took a turn NW on the blue, Floodplain Trail. It was around this point that we ran into Bluto and Gap, who got a lesson in tardiness, as they missed the start by about 3 minutes…watching us disappear into the woods, then choosing the wrong trail as they tried to catch up. From the blue, we veered west on the purple trail, AKA The Prarie Trail.

Eventually we intersected with the red trail again, which led us back to the Stranahan Trailhead.

Emerging from Wildwood, we circled up with the run group for the COR, NOR, and COT. Cogs from the run group was the 6 and shared a story of his daughters delight that er dad finally has friends of his own with F3!
