3-5 Mile run with your F3 Brothers
5/22/18
Location: Tuesday Run @ Stranahan / Wildwood Metropark
Temperature: 56 degrees w/ 90% humidity
QIC: Splinter
PAX: Belding, Brita, Hacksaw, Hedgehog, Ollie, Ozzie, Rose, Splinter,
The weather was perfect this morning as we gathered in the parking lot of Stranahan. We circled up as YHC recited with mission statement with precision as if he was reading from the website. We reviewed the 5 core principles and reminded everyone of the disclaimer as they were there under their own free will.
Warm-Up
-13 Windmills IC
The Thang
-We entered Wildwood through the field entrance at Stranahan and proceeded to run towards the purple train with YHC getting turned around only 5 minutes into the route (not a great start). After a quick reground and some flak from the PAX…we were back on track dodge stumps and enjoying the scenery.
-We ran to the edge of the bike connector path (that enters off of Corey rd.) and then turned around to head back to Stranahan.
-We exited Wildwood near the backside gazeebo entrance and finished with 4.15miles @ 8:50/mi pace (Including some stops for 40-50 merkins and YHC indecision).
-COT: COR / NOR / GTKT6
-Belding was the 6 today and although admittedly he has been the 6 quite a bit, as of late…he still shared with us a powerful history of the impact F3 has had in his life and continues to have. Strong words today Mr. B!
-Prayer Intentions: For Rose’s friend Brad and his grandfather. For a solution to the continued violence in schools and prayers for our Troops.
-Moleskin:
-Oz suggested running the trails today and while there was some concern last night that they would be muddy with the rain…the conditions today were perfect and to run on the trail was an awesome change of pace.
-Rose pushed through Windmill injury and had a strong finish.
-Oz refused to turn his headlamp off even after the sun had risen..respect.
-Awesome to see Hacksaw back in the gloom with us after some time off. Great to see you again brother! #HIM
