Ruck at Harroun Park

   Harroun Park Ruckus Backblast

   21 PAX Posted for the first ruck at the new AO, Harroun Park.

   We stepped off @ 5:15 AM and headed east into the darkness. For comfort we brought along 2 logs @ about 50 lbs each (thanks Klinger) and a couple of 10 lb plates (thanks Stark).

   The PAX headed downhill into Harroun Park, past the Lathrop house. After about 1/4 mile through the woods, we emerged at the Harroun Road trailhead and began a trek through town, briefly weaving back through the park. A deer came out of the brush just in front of the PAX, but eyed Mickey and wisely headed for the cover of the river.

   After a brief pause for traffic, the PAX made our way through downtown Sylvania and west out to Plummer Pool, where we made our turn to head back towards Harroun Park.

   After a double back in front of the parking lot, we looped down Ravine Road and back to the east entrance to the park. Back into the woods for the final stretch, the PAX double timed it with a scramble up the final hill to finish just under 4 miles in 58 minutes.

   A brief COP brought a 10 count (20) merkins with Packs on the Backs of the PAX.

   The COT included the usual Count-o-Rama and Name-o-Rama

   A special thanks to Splinter for bringing it all home with a prayer.
