Boot camp style workout.

Typical routine: warm-up with Merkins, stretching, side-straddle-hops, etc.  Then proceed to the playground equipment and/or field for running mixed with strength training.  Finish off with the C.O.P (circle of pain) for merkins, planks, ab work, supermans, etc.

SATURDAYS always followed up with 2nd F (fellowship) at Executive Diner on Sylvania.

    Words:
My Dad, Mark Mallette would have been 77 tomorrow. He passed away 1 month ago. This workout would have been right up his alley “back in the day”.

Writing his Eulogy I wanted to do him justice, frame him out just right
He was Aggressive person. Answering the phone – his name was like a verb
He was someone that would invite Conflict – he’d find conflict where there was none
Today we will aggressively get after it
What would be the characteristics of a Mark Mallette without? Hard, intense, and old school. 2 a days, running, ski machine, double sweats

    Warmup
Michael Phelps, Abe, Meat Scissors, Motivators (10 minutes)

    Indian Run

Setup Exercise Stations around Loop (12 Reps IC)
    Dips
    Burpees*
    Merkins
    Big Bois
    LT Dans*
    Mike Tyson’s*
    LBCs
    Squats

    Loop 1: All Stations
    Eliminate 1 exercise per loop (8, 7, 6, etc…)
    We made 4 Loops

    Cool down/stretching

    COT
    -Mark Mallette was many things
He’d want to be though of as
Someone you did not take lightly
    A relentless work ethic
    A well rounded person
    Above the Standard

Lots of Reflection the past month…
    Dads & sons
    My Faith
    My Legacy

    COT
    COR – 10
    NOR
6: Floppy – what he said was appropriated and kind
    Announcements: Winter is coming
Prayers: Bluto, Pax going through stuff, holidays without loved ones, family dynamics challenges

Looking back now I see a few things differently. As a Dad you see the potential in your kids and want to see them achieve it. In many ways, I’m sure my Dads approach was rooted in preparing me to face a tough world.

Leading this was hard. I knew I could get through it because my Dad prepared me for taking on hard things.
