Boot camp style workout.

Typical routine: warm-up with Merkins, stretching, side-straddle-hops, etc.  Then proceed to the playground equipment and/or field for running mixed with strength training.  Finish off with the C.O.P (circle of pain) for merkins, planks, ab work, supermans, etc.

SATURDAYS always followed up with 2nd F (fellowship) at Executive Diner on Sylvania.

No FNG’s so right into Mission and Principles:
    F3 – Fitness, Fellowship, Faith
Mission – Plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.
The core principles of F3 are that it must:
    • Be free of charge
    • Be open to all men
    • Be held outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold
    • Be led by men who participate in the workout in a rotating fashion, with no training or certification necessary. You versus you. Modify or stop an exercise if you need to. The most important thing is that nobody gets hurt.
    • End with a Circle of Trust

    Warmup (In Cadence)
-(15) four count side straddle hops
    -(10) four count windmills
    -(15) four count mountain climbers

The “Thang”: Stayed as one group and rotated through four stations and perform AMRAP at each station for a predetermined amount of time only know to YHC but that was figured out quickly by some PAX. Four rounds would be completed.
Round One (one minute per station): Stump Huggers, Lieutenant Dan’s, Burpees, Bear Crawl
Round Two (two minutes per station): Merkins, Calf Raises, Mountain Climbers, Shuffle
Round Three (three minutes per station): Windshield Wipers, Side Straddle Hops, Toe Reach Crunches, Karaoke
Round Four (four minutes per station): Imperial Walkers, Big Boy Sit Ups, Squats, Run

    End of Workout

Sharing of the six – TuPac. EH’d by Casper at Starbucks. Posted to give F3 a try and has literally not stopped posting since that day. Got his name because during his naming at the first workout he told everyone that he was going through some “changes” in his life. Doesn’t really like to exercise but loves coming out for the fellowship and for everything that F3 has done for his life. Aye!

Announcements: Jimmy V March Madness fundraiser coming up on March 30th. See Romano or Mickey for ticket information. Monthly Ruck for April will be a Pub Ruck coupled with the Winter Challenge patch and awards presentation at Shawn’s Irish Tavern in Toledo. More info soon.

Ball of Man – Prayers for a TOL PAX who’s family is expecting a baby soon. Prayers for Socrates and his students as they will be heading out on a hiking trip this week. And prayers for all kids who are in broken homes with insufficient parenting. May God watch over them and watch over their parents to get them to be more responsible parents. And may God guide us to continue to be leaders in our community and may we be mentors to children out there who may need a strong male presence in their lives.

Spreadsheets from the Gloom: Temp: Low 30’s no wind. Knew this would be a great opportunity for both 1st and 2nd F. Always great chatter at The Oasis. Socrates told a story of a guy who came into his gym recently and claimed he was a “fighter”. He was quickly put into his place. Model shared a story of a football coach who confused the word “paralleled” and “paralyzed”. We pushed each other throughout the workout, we had a great time, and we all got better today. Aye!

It was an honor to lead.
