Boot camp style workout.

Typical routine: warm-up with Merkins, stretching, side-straddle-hops, etc.  Then proceed to the playground equipment and/or field for running mixed with strength training.  Finish off with the C.O.P (circle of pain) for merkins, planks, ab work, supermans, etc.

SATURDAYS always followed up with 2nd F (fellowship) at Executive Diner on Sylvania.

The name of the Beatdown Saturday was “Bully Beatdown” because so often our greatest bully is our inner voice. The inner voice that keeps us on the couch, in our bed, or stuck in a go-nowhere routine. So the PAX focused on every victory Saturday. Showing up, victotory; not stopping during burpees, victory; encouraging another PAX, victory. The focus was all about having a positive mindset. “You vs. you.” Fitness is a man’s right relationship with himself. Gap, Romano, Modell, Dauber, Meatloaf, Socrates, Gadget, Glitch, and Rocco moved just a little closer to that right relationship on Saturday.

The beatdown started with an explanation on having the right mindest by Socrates. The PAX then went through a 45 minute non-stop workout . It started with merkins and jump-squats with sprints in between each set. We then hit a new exercise for some. The crocodile walk. The entire beatdown was challenging, as there was very little time set aside to “rest.” We ended the beatdown with a lap around Close Park, but the with a twist. The PAX were required to stay ahead of the Q at all times, no matter the speed. Quite challenging as a finishing exercise.

It was an honor to Q.
