Boot camp style workout.

Typical routine: warm-up with Merkins, stretching, side-straddle-hops, etc.  Then proceed to the playground equipment and/or field for running mixed with strength training.  Finish off with the C.O.P (circle of pain) for merkins, planks, ab work, supermans, etc.

SATURDAYS always followed up with 2nd F (fellowship) at Executive Diner on Sylvania.

    The 4 Musketeers of The Oasis rucked 4 miles, exactly. That was the goal, and we hit it. Props to the group for keeping pace.

    Along the way, Gap worked on his stand-up routine. A few highlights:

    “Every morning, I stand in front of my full-length mirror and say: Honey, you sure are lucky…then I tell the same thing to my wife.”

    “My wife and I have been talking…I told her it’s time we spend more time together like we used to, having coffee and talking about how great I am and how lucky she is to have me. She said ‘Do we have to’…I said she can drink whatever she wants, she doesn’t HAVE to drink coffee.”

    Ended with Count-o-rama, Name-o-rama, Circle of Trust/Ball of Man

    Opening – Brief rundown of F3 purpose, principles and agenda.

    Warmup – Run a lap.

    The Thang –
    (5) Burpees
    Bear crawl to next cone
    (10) Lunges
    Bear crawl to next cone
    (15) Imperial Walkers
    Bear crawl to next cone
    (20) Merkins
    Bear crawl to next cone
    (25) Plank Jacks
    Bear crawl to next cone
    (30) Squats

    Run 1 lap and reverse repeat, replacing bear crawls with lunges between stations.

    Moseyed to the playground for team workout. Broke into teams of 3, each team completed:
    (60) Burpees
    (120) Pullups
    (150) Merkins
    (210) Situps
    (240) Squats

    Moseyed back to the cones to complete:
    (5) Burpees
    Lunge to next cone
    (10) Bicycle
    Lunge to next cone
    (15) Leg raise
    Lunge to next cone
    (20) Flutter kicks
    (25) Mountain climbers
    Lunge to next cone
    (30) Mason twist

    COT – Continued prayers for Riley, prayers for Brita’s mother in-law, the troops for providing the freedom to post as we do. Thanks to KD for coming out and embracing the suck. Prayers that we as the PAX of F3 can continue to EH and represent ourselves as the men and leaders our families and communities need us to be.
