It seemed like everywhere you turned this weekend, the cold and snowy weather was getting hyped. After a slow start Monday, the snow finally fell and blanketed the streets.

YHC called an audible to have the PAX park next to the University Trail on Holland-Sylvania to avoid snow covered sidewalks. As it would turn out, the trail was still pretty full of snow for most of the run.

After a quick stop at Stranahan to pick up a couple PAX that missed the audible, YHC arrived at the trail to greet the early arrivals.

YHC covered the mission of F3 and 5 Core principles and checked with the PAX on the route. We agreed to run to the covered bridge in Wildwood and back.

As we headed out, we could tell the trail had been plowed at one point last night, but had an inch of snow back on the ground. This would prove to be better footing. As we moved through Wildwood, the plows began working on the trail. The areas they plowed ended up being a little slipper after the plows went through.

With the audible on start point, we got in about 3.4 miles. Not bad for our first snowy day of the year.

Ended in COT. Pixar was our 6, sharing that F3 has helped him build some deep friendships in the area and loves the motivation to get after it by the PAX, as well as the push they give him to get better. Prayers for Brita and Simmons M’s for the delivery of their new 2.0s any day, Splinters family member with a new bundle of joy in the next couple of weeks, Trojan’s dad as he recovers from some medical issues, and Ollie’s 2.0 to have some connection at his retreat at school later this week.

It was an honor to lead you HIMs this morning.
