Ruck… That’s What She Said!

After going over the mission and principles of F3, the PAX took off for a 3.5 mile ruck around Ottawa Park. We grabbed the shovel flag and set off for a morning of great conversation.
As we rucked around, we spotted part of a telephone pole. Despite a strong desire to pick it up, there was fear that Toledo Edison would come after us, so we let the pole stay where it was. Continuing along the trail, we discovered other opportunities for logs to get picked up, but continued our trek. Getting to see half a dozen deer in the park was great, despite the fact that someone had completely covered the golf course with powdered sugar.
Mother Rucker kept the group entertained (or terrified!) with his stories of cadres at GoRuck events and the smoke sessions, welcome parties, and other shenanigans that occurred during the multiple events that he has done.
Gap tried to comfort Modell by spinning everything into a positive, but it didn’t seem to work too well. Modell would laugh, but it was more of a nervous laughter than anything else.
Another great ruck in the books as we head into the home stretch leading into the GrowRuck later this month.
We returned back to the cars and had our COR, NOR & COT. We prayed for one of Dauber’s students on his baseball team, our kids, the world events in Syria and especially our troops. We asked that the Lord make us to be better men who can lead our families and our communities well.
