    5 core principles

The Thang—we rucked up and stepped off with the shovel flag completely in tact. Goal was to ruck they was I was taught when we first began over a year ago. 30+ lbs between our shoulders, 2 X 2 shoulder to shoulder, with meaningful conversation to help each other grow and become better men. Through the gloom of OPGC and past the stomping grounds of the University of Toledo campus we rucked. Brita was about to make a per usual unwanted and unnecessary comment when God struck him down with the slap of humility. While rucking with the SF, Brita tripped over a giant 1/2” raise in the terrain. Down, and down fast Y-not-so-HC hit the deck; Klinger thought Brita was out cold, but luckily the dose of humility was not as severe as it should of been. Acting like it didn’t hurt, the attention was shifted to the now busted SF. With 2+ miles to log we rucked on.
Although Klingers watch always disputes Brita’s we rucked at a 14:17/mi pace and covered 4.02 miles. Murmurs of the HIM taking on the Star Course whispered through the woods about their courage to take on the challenge. Dauber, Brita, Klinger, Chapo all agree that if it was not in Cinci where we already completed a GRT we would do it, oh yeah and the 50 miles also played a role in our reluctance. But hats off to those enduring the suck.
We finished where we started with a beat up Q and a beat up SF, one will need more help than the other to become beautiful again.
    COR NOR COT.
Brita = 6 Spoke of the opportunity to make right the wrongs he committed, the chance to serve those around us, the gratitude to the men who don’t give up on us, even when they should.
Prayers for the intentions in our hearts. Dauber reminding us to lay down our fear and become informed, to learn, to become better.
What an honor and beautiful lesson and opportunity took place at the CaddyShack today.
