Sword of Omens (Mental Health Awareness)
Our brothers in Louisville put out a call to be open about the serious effect mental health issues have particularly in men. The Nation joined in that discussion in many ways today.
    QIC – Stark
PAX – Moes, El Chapo, Houdini, Huckleberry, Tweety Goose, Bluto, Speedo, Bagels, Mickey, Scrum, Charmin, Brita, Simmons, Topper, Danica, Razorback, Bullock, Nails, Jake the Snake, Gadget, Mary Lou
YHC tried to make some of the staggering statistics surrounding men’s mental health understandable and present in our minds through through the types and reps of workouts today.

**Male suicides are on the rise since 2000. Now 7th leading cause of death among males**
    Escalating Burpee Mountain –
1 minute each round, only 15 second break in between. Goal is 12 reps
1.) Burpee, No chest to ground
    2.) Burpee Plank Jax
    3.) Squat Thrust Squat Burpee
    4.) Chest to Ground Burpee
    5.) Mountain Climber Burpee
    6.) Side Kick Through Burpee
    7.) Frog Hop Burpee
    8.) Donkey Kick Burpee
9.) Frog Hop Crawl Bear Burpee
    10.) Triple Skyfall Burpee

**1 in 5 Adults Experience Mental Health Problem Each Year**
    **79% of suicides are men**
    Teams of 5
Each team member must complete 79 reps of exercise before you can move on as team.
20 reps at a time then Lateral Ape Hop 20 yards and back
Only had time for one round even though I had more planned:
    1.) V-Ups – Ape Hop

**Highest Suicide rates in the U.S. are found in Caucasian men over the age of 85**
    Full Group
Tunnel of Love – 85 Yards

COR, NOR, 6 was Goose. The COT lasted about 10 mins longer today as the PAX bravely spoke out about personal experiences with mental health issues. Their were some tears, personal stories about self, stories about family, stories about our veterans, and emotions were high. Strength comes in many forms, least of which can be physical. Today the emotional strength of several of our PAX displayed what a real HIM is about.
