What the ruck is a ruck? A hike with a weighted backpack (approx 30 lbs) while stopping along the brisk walk to do some invigorating exercise. Excellent 1st F (fitness) and 2nd F (fellowship). If an FNG (Friendly New Guy) is a bit timid to post for a workout the ruck is a great intro to the pax.
Beautiful morning for a Ruck -13° C (8° F). 6 Hardy Souls showed up for the celebration. The Ruck began following the ridge of the Fort and at each block house we celebrated with some PT. The BH we did 26 squats and continue to ruck. BH 2 we did merckens with our packs on. By now we had forgotten about the temp and we started to sweat a bit. Continuing through the ruck we climed up and dow the fort’s slopes. BH 3 with 26 lunges with a front kick. The Ruck continued to BK 4 26 toe raises. BH 26 squats. Heading back up hill maybe 1/4 mile we headed for one last BH. We celebrated with 26 burpees with packs off. Short hike back to starting point. Total distance 2.5 miles but felt like more. Ended in a COT and welcomed the FNG who is now officially RAVEN, apperantely he loves the Baltimore Ravens.
