What the ruck is a ruck?  A hike with a weighted backpack (approx 30 lbs) while stopping along the brisk walk to do some invigorating exercise. Excellent 1st F (fitness) and 2nd F (fellowship). If an FNG (Friendly New Guy) is a bit timid to post for a workout the ruck is a great intro to the pax.

    Q: Bambi

PAX: 10 total – Tupac, Buttermaker, Stark, Shakira, Jennay, Venom, Woodstock, Casper, Flo, Bambi.

F3 Mission: Fitness, Fellowship, Faith; to plant, serve and grow men’s small workout groups, in order to reinvigorate male community leadership

    Principles of F3:
    • It must be free of charge
    • It must be open to all men
    • It must be help outdoor, rain or shine, hot or cold
    • It must be peer led in a rotating fashion by men who participate in the workout, with no training or certification necessary
    • It must end with a Circle of Trust (COT)

The ruck stepped off from the Necropolis with a shovel flag and lots of coupons, almost one for everyone including: Betty, Charlotte, log, 40# sand bag, 60# sand Bag, two 45 # kettle bells, two 35# kettle bells, spare 30# ruck. This started off as your basic ruck to the bridge and back. Along the way the Q assigned some PITA rules designed to insight frustration among the PAX. Some of the rules were no suggestion guy, suggestion guy, complain about the Q guy, cut in line guy and last and definitely worst…stop at every coupon swap guy.

Along the way there was frustration, support, help and plain old pissed off folks. At the end of the ruck the Q explained the concept of the Ruck and reminded all that not everyone is a great ruck Q, you won’t always agree with the Q and it is not always easy. Keep a level head.

Ended in a COT with Count-o-Rama and Name-o-Rama.
