What the ruck is a ruck? A hike with a weighted backpack (approx 30 lbs) while stopping along the brisk walk to do some invigorating exercise. Excellent 1st F (fitness) and 2nd F (fellowship). If an FNG (Friendly New Guy) is a bit timid to post for a workout the ruck is a great intro to the pax.

The Ruck included 10 PAX, one shovel flag, and 1 each of 40#, 60# and 120# sandbags. We started off in two ranks with a PAX of similar heights to our left or right. The shovel flag was in front followed by the 40# and 60# sandbags and then the 120# sandbag which we partner carried the entire time. Coupon swaps were periodic and as called by the PAX carrying the 120# sandbag, we did not even come close to figuring out a no stopping coupon swap with the 120# sandbag and know what we need to work on. We headed past the Necropolis aonlg West Indiana and took the first left onto West Boundary. The PAX continued along West Boundary and to the next light and then headed toward Maumee along Conant. At the entrance to Fort Meigs off Conant the Q noticed we were traveling slower than anticipated and modified the Ruck. The PAX entered the back entrance to the Fort and took the long way around the back of the Fort, eventually coming back to pavement at the end of Ft. Maigs Road. We made it back to the parking lot 10 minutes early and rotating PT was called out first by PAX with Orange Packs or shirts, then by anyone else not wearing primarily gray and black clothing (how do we all end up wearing basically the same as each other….).
Ended in a COT with Count-o-Rama and Name-o-Rama.
Tupac was the 6. He was EH’d by Casper at Starbucks. He got his name because he was going through changes…like “Tupac.” Tupac is thankful for the friendship and support of each other in the PAX and that is what keeps him coming back. It is either that or he is just crazy and is working on a scheme to get 60 posts in a month. In addition to Tupac he has a couple of other names including “Mrs. Buttersworth” as named by “Tebo,” our server at the Lamplight Cafe and “Kanye” as named by Dredd at GrowRuck 009.
Bambi Led the Prayer: Jennay was thankful for a clear colonoscopy and prayers were asked for clear colonoscopies in the future as he will have them early and often due to his family history of colon related health conditions. Prayers were asked for the Kevin who is in hospice and has a terminal condition and his family. Kevin is the son of a coworker of Buttermaker. Also prayers were asked Woodstock as he plays single father for the week and for Shakira and his M as they grow closer to their due date. All PAX were thankful for the amazing spring weather.
