What the ruck is a ruck?  A hike with a weighted backpack (approx 30 lbs) while stopping along the brisk walk to do some invigorating exercise. Excellent 1st F (fitness) and 2nd F (fellowship). If an FNG (Friendly New Guy) is a bit timid to post for a workout the ruck is a great intro to the pax.

Q*Bert, Bambi, Bourbon, and Thumper showed up at 4:30 for an early ruck before the normal ruck.
Mission: up and down the hill at Davis Overlook as many trips as time allows.

    The Thang: Coupon Doubling Ruck

The ruck started with all ruckers in a 2×2 formation. The HIM beside you was your partner and relief if you ever needed it. Each row of 2 ruckers had one coupon of varying weights between 25# and 40#. The first swap was in 10 seconds, then 20 seconds, 40 seconds, 80 seconds, 160 seconds….you get the point. The swaps with the short timing were not great and we had to start over a couple of times to get it right. The Q improvised a bit to round off the time swaps in whole minutes toward the end. The last round of coupons was 21 minutes and some PAX carried the coupon for their row the entire time. Others took advantage of the HIM beside them and accepted the support when it was offered. Total distance covered was approximately 3.3 miles.

    Ended with Count-O-Rama, Name-O-Rama, CoT

The Six: Gepetto: EH by Colonel, got his name because he works for a furniture company, keeps coming back because he gets pushde to be a better man in 1st, 2nd and 3rd F.
