What the ruck is a ruck?  A hike with a weighted backpack (approx 30 lbs) while stopping along the brisk walk to do some invigorating exercise. Excellent 1st F (fitness) and 2nd F (fellowship). If an FNG (Friendly New Guy) is a bit timid to post for a workout the ruck is a great intro to the pax.

Pretty straight forward ruck today. Went for quality miles, not quantity. 2×2 but No coupons. And kept a brisk pace. And YHC proposed three questions as ice breakers for conversation. As soon as the ruck commenced, the mumblechat was generated with fervor. This is where the quality miles came into play. The PAX eagerly discussed music, travel, career, dolphins and daffodils with each other. The only moments of silence was the walk through the Fort Meigs cemetery. We marched that 1/4 in silent reverence and humility. It was a reflection on our gift to be on this side of the dirt. Once we existed the cemetery the mumblechat burst back into action. Hazmat was put on the task to notify YHC when 10 mins lapsed. At that point the left line would rotate so they PAX could engage with a new comrade.
    Total distance – 3.16 miles
    Mile 1 – 15.58
    Mile 2 – 16:32
    Mile 3 – 16:55
There was a quick stop by the Orleans Park boat launch for some ruck curls and squats before we turned around and headed home. Ended with a perfect 5 mins to quit’n time. Just enough to watch the runners rolling back and forth through the parking lot to round out an impressive 6 MILES! Mad shout out to Dutch for this accomplishment and Jen-nay and Woodstock for the leadership and encouragement and support to push him through this milestone.

COR, NOR, Mile High was the six, prayers for travel, our brothers doing the Star Course, New parents, Seasoned parents, us as sons, and family relationships that require some Tough Love as we came to understand from our recent bible study discussions.
