We had an FNG so we began with the core principals and the mission of F3 and gave the disclaimer. Then YHC explained the route and we were off.

    The Thang:
We ran 3 to 4 miles on the bike trail. We ran south on Holland-Sylvania to the bike trail then east on the bike trail towards UT. YHC stopped at 1.5 miles out to pick up those who wanted to run 3 miles and Hedgehog took a few guys out to 2 miles then turned around. Panama just didn’t want to stop so he kept running, and running, and running. When everyone had returned with no sign of Panama, Hedgehog and YHC ran back to find him on the bike trail. He easily got 5 miles in.

While waiting for everyone to return we did some PT. We got in 20 merkins, 40 side straddle hops, 20 LBC’s then Sipe had the group doing sprints while we went looking for Panama, which I’m sure everyone enjoyed. I volunteered to go look for Panama with Hedgehog simply to avoid the sprints.

We did COR and NOR. Panama was our 6 and, although he recently started, shared his thoughts on F3. AJ Fischer was an FNG who had come looking for the ruck but stayed for the run. Thanks to Splinter for not updating the website so we had the pleasure of running with AJ. He shared about his job, family and favorite movie and the group had nothing. Then he said he favorite team is the Broncos, so we immediately named him Tebow. It is required that he “Tebows” while saying his name Tebow.

Ended with prayers and, on this day 9/11, we prayed for those that died in that tragedy, for those first responders who gave their lives to save others and for the troops who are abroad fighting to keep us safe.
