It’s always warm and sunny at the Beach! Come out for a boot camp style beatdown.

Park on the west side of the lake at the first shelter.

    Q: Socrates

PAX: Hedgehog, Pinewood, Pixar, Irish-Springs, Schmails?, Oz, Belding, Mick, Socrates

The Beatdown consisted of a legs station, a core station, an upper body station, and a total body station. BUT: On the playlist were three songs that required a special exercise. Thunderstruck meant we had to do burpees on every “Thunda.” Panama meant we had to give 5x plank jacks, absolutions, narrow squats, absolutions, merkins, absolutions to the end of the song. Finally, Goin back to Cali meant a crawl-bear Indian run. Fortunately, Panama was the only song that made its way into the beatdown.

After a brief warm up of SSH, Merkins, and Squats, we began to get serious.

The leg station was Addition by Subtraction:
    – 10 SSH, 10, HALF SSH, 10 NO ARM SSH, 10 JUMPS all the way down to one without stopping.
    – After a brief rest, squat, squat jump, squat jump forward, crawl bear back for 2 minutes.
    – 15 count leg raises

Rn .25 miles to Core station.
    – Hold V-up, with descending big bois from 10, to 8, to 6, yo 4, to 2.
    – 25 sit outs were interrupted by Panama

    Run.25 miles to Upper Body
    – 3 minutes of 10 dips, 10 Inclines, 10 declines, 10 shoulder taps AMRAP.

Run .25 miles to Total Body:
    – Plunges across parking lot
    – Boxer shuffle burpee back.

Muay Thai Shuffle back to the flag where we finished with some nice cool down stretches and the Oasis exercise of Burt Reynolds.

COT: Prayed for life changes, and continued growth.

The men of the Beach are a special group. There is a deep loyalty there amongst the regulars that I thought only existed at the Oasis. I would Q at the Beach anytime! Though I will say, the jokes may or may not have gone too far this am. :). Two of the PAX left the Beach questioning whether or not they may have crossed the line. Eh, they’re good guys, and it will blow over. I don’t think there’s one PAX member who wouldn’t stick his neck out for another. F3 is a tribe. Sometimes tribes argue, but at the end of the day, we are on the same team.

The second F at Scramblers was amazing. Deep conversation for a Saturday morning. I loved it.
