It’s always warm and sunny at the Beach! Come out for a boot camp style beatdown.
Park on the west side of the lake at the first shelter.
Convergence at the Beach – 2021 kickoff
Intro: lovely 34 degrees to kickoff the beach as a new AO. Brute made it into a convergence, and kicked off our annual Winter Challenge as well. He’s one creative cat. All other AOs shut down for this one at 7am. A couple memorable things about this morning. The Gooey Gumdrop lane and candy cane Forrest was still lit up from Christmas but very slick. Pax were asked to take main outter road to stations. Even had Christmas music blaring at our Ad Focus Station 4 circuit.

The Thang:
Oz led in 20 side straddle hops, then 10 windmills, then skip over the ropes down and back
Four stations of Lazy Pain
Everyone run to their station. Once first station is done. Look to the inside next to the lake. Every picnic table you see do two burpees.
Here were the stations.
Station 1- Four corners/ lower focus
– Bear crowl twenty yards to each cone.
– Four corners had 50 rope skips, 10 lt dans, 20 air squats and 20 lunges
Station 2 – Full body mix
– 15 plank jack shoulder taps
– 10 Carolina dry docks
– 10 big boy sit-ups
– 20 lunges (1is 1)
Station 3- Ramp sprints/ upper focus
Start at the bottom.
Sprint to top of hill. 1 Jack Webb (merkin w 4 air presses)
Sprint back down 1 inch worm with with shoulder tap
10 SSH
Sprint to top of hill. 2 Jack Webbs (2 merkins w 8 air presses)
Sprint back down 2 inch worms with with shoulder tap

Sprint to top of hill. 3 Jack Webbs (3 merkins w 12 air presses)

Station 4 – Ab focus
Exercises led in cadence

COT: Belding led the announcements, prayers
2nd F – Ms Brute brought coffee and bagels and everyone took a photo then met under the pavilion… distanced of course.
Oh and Oz started a chant to get me to jump in the Olander lake. I’m guessing water temp was 32 degrees. Was fun having 50 guys cheering me on. WC points! Embrace your inner Polar Bear boys, it’s about to get cold! No excuses !
All in all, twas a great way to kick off the new year 2021!!
