Where it all started! Typical routine: warm-up with Merkins, stretching, side-straddle-hops, etc. Then proceed to the track and/or field for running mixed with strength training. Finish off with the C.O.P (circle of pain) for merkins, planks, ab work, supermans, etc.
SATURDAYS always followed up with 2nd F (fellowship) at local restaurant (changes periodically, they will announce location typically in the COT after the beatdown). Great opportunity to get to know members of F3 Toledo and refuel from the workout.
Friendly Game of Euchre

The Fuse
Q: Ticket
PAX: Ozzie, Jimmy Dean, Goose, Tidwell, Sideshow, Speedo, and Ticket
With all the PAX that HC’d having arrived in the parking lot, YHC called for the PAX to head to the shovel flag, which The Site Q of The Fuse, Tidwell, had planted near the sidewalk by the tennis courts. YHC had the PAX circle up and covered the mission of F3 and the 5 core principles. As advertised, we were going to play a game YHC played regularly in high school and college, Euchre. But, before we got to the Euchre, we started with a quick warm-up consisting of:
Arm Circles
Michael Phelps
Windmills – 10 IC
Side Straddle Hops – 15 IC
PAX counted off by 4s to form teams. Ones and Threes were partners and Twos and Fours were partners.
Team 1 was Jimmy Dean and Ticket
Team 2 was Ozzie and Goose
Team 3 was Tidwell and Sideshow
Team 4 was Speedo
The PAX moseyed to the food stand by the football field to shelter from the wind a little during the Euchre game.
At the end of each hand, all PAX performed PT and ran from the food stand to the track and to the 50 yard line and back to the food stand. The outcome of each hand determined the reps to be performed for each team.
At the end of the game, the winning team was to do an Indian run around the track. The losing team was to do a 50 yard Indian bear crawl and Indian run the rest of the way around the track. If losing team got skunked, 100 yard Indian bear crawl instead of 50 yard
For all hands, the winning team did 10 reps of PT. The losing team did 15 reps for normal hands. There were no euchres, loners, or euchres on loners, and everyone played honest (no reneges). So, the losing team didn’t have to do any extra reps. Had there been a euchre, the losing team would have done 20 reps and 30 reps on a loner or a euchre on a loner. Teams caught reneging would have done 30 reps as well.
We got in 8 hands and tied at 4 points a piece. So, both teams did a 50 yard Indian bear crawl and finished a lap around the track with an Indian run.
PT performed for each hand was as follows:
Hand 1 – Big Boy Situps – winner: Team 2 and 4
Hand 2 – Wide Merkins – winner: Team 1 and 3
Hand 3 – Squats – winner: Team 1 and 3
Hand 4 – American Hammers (4 is 1) – winner: Team 2 and 4
Hand 5 – Burpees – winner: Team 1 and 3
Hand 6 – Reverse Crunch – winner: Team 2 and 4
Hand 7 – Dips – winner: Team 2 and 4; both teams ran to the bleachers after this hand, did their dips, and ran back
Hand 8 – Bonnie Blairs – winner: Team 1 and 3
Although we didn’t get to rounds 9 – 20, here is what was in store for the PAX:
Hello Dollies (2 is 1)
Donkey Kicks
Figure Four for the Core
Carolina Dry Docks
Side Straddle Hops
Klinger Kicks
Alternating Shoulder Taps (4 is 1)
Lunge Walk
LBCs
Groiner
Leg Lifts
Diamond Merkins
Following the Indian run, we gathered the cards and moseyed back to the shovel flag for the COT. It was a fun game, but probably one best left for warmer weather.
In the COT, we did the Count-o-rama, Name-o-rama, Know the 6, and Announcements. Goose was the 6 and told us how F3 pushes him to do things he never would have done, like the Ragnar he did with 11 other PAX and the Nashville Star Course he did with his M, and how he loved seeing the other PAX coming into the finish line at the Star Course. Closed it out with Prayer Intentions for Simmons and his M and Brita and his M expecting new 2.0s any day, Brute’s M, and Minnie.
It was an honor to lead the men at the Fuse!
