What the ruck is a ruck? A hike with a weighted backpack (approx 30 lbs) while stopping along the brisk walk to do some invigorating exercise. Excellent 1st F (fitness) and 2nd F (fellowship). If an FNG (Friendly New Guy) is a bit timid to post for a workout the ruck is a great intro to the pax.
Reindeer Ruck- more training needed!!
PAX: Casper, Flo, Hazmat, Raven, Houdini, Bongo (Q)
Mission statement was shared, followed by 5 Core principles to all runners and Rucker’s this foggy Christmas Eve!
Runners and Rucker’s split and went there own routes.
Based upon the previous week’s communication by Flo, there was ongoing fear that Reindeer Local 1225 might be going on strike, and we were requested to fill in.
Last week, Santa was impressed with the weight carrying we did. But this week, Santa was requesting more practice in mileage, speed, and navigation.
PAX stepped off following the Q direction, asking Casper to be the first “Rudolph”, and lead our direction. All PAX had the opportunity to take the “Rudolph” role during the 3.5 miles we put in.
Santa contacted later in the day, and stated again he was pleased with our training, and would be contacting us first if needed.
Upon returning to the AO, Bongo (Q) passed the torch to Flubber (run Q) to lead all PAX through NOR, COR, Know the 6, and COT.
Prayer requests were asked for those traveling, those that had to work during the holiday, and for patience and grace during family gathers.
It was and honor to lead, and Merry Christmas to all the HIM out there in F3 Land!
