What the ruck is a ruck? A hike with a weighted backpack (approx 30 lbs) while stopping along the brisk walk to do some invigorating exercise. Excellent 1st F (fitness) and 2nd F (fellowship). If an FNG (Friendly New Guy) is a bit timid to post for a workout the ruck is a great intro to the pax.
QIC – Trinity

Quick intros and we headed out with a goal of knocking down 4 miles. In order to be back before 6:15 meant we were going to need to maintain a sub 15 minute pace and jog at a few points to make up time. We followed Main St south to Brint and attempted to stay on the sidewalk. Before too long we gave up on staying on the sidewalk and hugged the shoulder of Brint Rd. We then headed north on San Luis Rey and made our way back to Covenant and then Silica north all the way to Maplewood. Maplewood took us to Summit and back around to Main St. At just a couple of minutes past 6:00 we were hit Harroun Park and had covered 3.5 miles. We rucked another .25 miles to Covenant and with 10 minutes left we ruck ran the last .25 miles to finish up. With some stops to cross roads and some icy patches we still managed to knock out 4.04 miles in 54:48.
