Boot camp style workout. At Woodland Park. Two large Playgrounds, Frisbee Golf Course, 1 Mile Dirt Track, HUGE Field.  Plenty of space here to craft a diabolical smokefest for even the strongest PAX.

Entrance is off East Boundary. Kip Boulis Drive.

SATURDAYS always followed up with 2nd F (fellowship) at Lamplight Cafe and Bakery located at 121 W. Indiana ave. Great opportunity to get to know members of F3Toledo and refuel from the workout.

    Sometimes YHC likes to game-ify the workouts to disguise the pain. This was one of those attempts. This time it was the PAX against the clock. We were in it together.

    In the Center of a about a 20 foot diameter circle was enough cinder blocks and ruck plates for each PAX to have their own coupon between 20 to 35 pounds. There were also 5 buckets filled with plastic ball pit balls. Each bucket was color coded. Each bucket had 150% more balls then PAX. About 30-40 yards outside of that circle were 5 stations in a star pattern with empty buckets.
    THE GOAL – Empty each bucket from the center by placing one ball at a time in the outer buckets.
    A.) The only way to take a ball from one the center buckets was complete 20 reps of the center circle workout for that round.
    B.) The only way to leave that ball in an outer buckets was perform the workout at the outer station.
    C.) Return the center and repeat
    D.) Must Complete each station AT LEAST once. After that you can choose what station you wanted to help empty.

    Stations – All but one you had to carry your coupon out to the station to perform the workout.
    1.) 10 Pull-ups or 20 Australian Push-ups
    2.) Man Maker Burpees with your coupon
    3.) Bent over low Rows with your coupon
    4.) Side Walk Merkins with your coupon
    5.) Squat Thrusters with your coupon (In the Ga Ga Ball octagon). Pax had to jump a little 3 foot wall to battle this one out.

    1.) 20 Curls in Center every time to grab a ball. This round was testing timing and getting PAX familiar with the “game”. Took nearly 30 mins.
    2.) 20 Flutter Kicks (2 is 1) with Coupon above chest. This round was for timing, YHC instructed the PAX we would be putting this time against the Sylvania PAX in a week so they had to make it count. It worked. They dug deep and we shaved nearly 10 mins off. Final time was 20 mins 25 secs.

    Other then round one getting the ball colors mixed up because of poor instruction from YHC, it went well. We learned and round 2 was flawless. We will attempt this again.

    COR, NOR, Coincidentally we had a brother WKRP from North Carolina (F3 Carpex) as our 6. He let us know his background and reason for being in town for a funeral for his wife’s father. So many prayers out to him and his family. Prayers for Houdini’s wife, Landslide’s wife, Charmin and Coal for their M’s and new 2.0’s, Nimbus’s family in California and prayers of thanks for the beautiful January morning and continued strength of our PAX through the winter season.
