Accountability Run

Thursday evening, YHC sent a few DMs out to pump the numbers up. While warm temps were expected, so was a bunch of rain. While YHC, was excited about the HCs, the forecast made him nervous. When YHC awoke, looked outside and saw wet pavement, he was concerned. After checking GroupMe for decommits, he was relieved to see only a couple. It was going to be a great morning.
27 guys showed up for the run on a misty wet morning in January. Awesome! The fire that the Winter Challenge brings was burning this morning. Guys that hadn’t been out in months joined us. Guys that don’t run a lot joined us. Guys from other AOs joined us. Gap was bouncing around as usual. But, other guys were charged up as well.
Before we stepped off, YHC ran through the mission and 5 core principles. Since there were a few PAX that weren’t familiar with the route, YHC ran through the options.
We did a quick Count-o-Rama to make sure we knew how many to expect back at the COT and stepped off. 25 guys strong and then 2 more rolled in. PAX got in 3-4 miles.
Ended in COT. Count-o-Rama, Name-o-rama, Bluto was the 6, Prayers for troops, active and veteran, as well as their families.
