Atalanta *Fun* Run
Lots and lots of cardio and fat burn. Relays, Sprints, Laps around the AO…and usually some Ultimate Frisbee!
Park off Fort Meigs Road. NOT ECKLE JUNCTION
It was a dark, frigid morning. -3 Actual, -15 or so with wind chill. a good layer of snow on the ground, drifts in places approaching several inches, hard packed ice – a true “Winter Wonderland”. 7 hearty souls showed up despite the weather for what has become the hardest, most fun morning show in Toledo. The snow made each bit of work significantly more challenging, and the frigid temps made continuous movement a must. Every one put in max effort despite illness, weather, and general sloppiness of the Q.
Prior to the beatdown commencing, Q was feeling generous and allowed the PAX to choose Option 1 or Option 2 – blindly. PAX went with Option 2.
PAX: Bourbon, Peepers, Shakira, TuPac, Jennay, Bambi, Woodstock (Q)
Opened with 3 F’s, Mission, and 5 Principles.
Warm up was stretching OYO in prep for a Q led run around the AO.
Run 1 – Just over a mile, including up the Hill and down – some PAX chose to go body sledding instead of downhill running.
TIBAATA style work – 4 rounds, 4 minutes, 20 seconds of work / 10 seconds of rest:
1) High knees
3) Sprints (suicide style)
Run 2 – Just under a mile, including up the Hill and down – some PAX chose to go body sledding instead of downhill running.
Back to the field for some frigid Ultimate Frisbee.
Ended with a COT and BOM, with continued prayers offered up for Colt, general health and safety, and the fine men of F3.
