Park off Fort Meigs Road. NOT ECKLE JUNCTION
12 PAX gathered in the haze of leftover fireworks smoke to celebrate freedom and being back to back World War Champs. As we gathered at Rolf Park for my first Q there, you could still hear the echoes of “USA, USA, USA…” in the distance as we stepped into the balmy (but fitting) 76 degrees of pure moisture in the air.
PAX: Bubba, Leia, Dutch, Bourbon, Popcorn, Bambi, Meatloaf, Rooster, Modell, Q-bert, Jennay, Shakira (Q)
Led off with 3F’s, Mission, Principles, and Disclaimer.
We paired off and prepared to push each other through the heat- it was a patriotic variation on BLIMPS (which Bambi called before the workout even started)
AMERICA- (BLIMPS modification) 76 Reps, partner runs to fence while other one counts off the following. Switch after the run
A-Alabama Ass-Kickers- down on all fours, kick each leg individually up and back, Four count on each leg-1. Up 2. Extend 3. Back to up position 4. down
M- Merkins-‘nuff said
E- E2K- on your six, right ankle over the left knee, bring your left elbow to right knee. Switch.
R- Reverse Crunches- same position as LBC, head and back stay on the ground. Bring knees to chest to work lower abs
I- Imperial Walkers
C- Captain Morgan- In plank position, raise on one side and bring the high side knee up like captain morgan
A- Alternating shoulder taps
Once teams finished they joined other teams to help complete their numbers. Upon completion, teams were chosen for ultimate Frisbee.
Thanks to his new fatherly hearing, Shakira was able to hear Bambi and Bourbon say they didn’t want to be captains….So they chose teams naturally. Bambi ripped his shirt off in a fashion that made Hasselhoff (from Baywatch) and Patrick Swayze (from the SNL Chippendale’s skit) jealous-thus securing their team being skins. It was a back and forth battle with each team answering the other’s score until they finally called the next score winning. The skins team switched on the skill and succinctly put the shirts team out of their misery.
The beatdown ended with COR, COT, BOM.
