boot camp, Toledo

Boot camp style workout.

Typical routine: warm-up with Merkins, stretching, side-straddle-hops, etc.  Then proceed to the playground equipment and/or field for running mixed with strength training.  Finish off with the C.O.P (circle of pain) for merkins, planks, ab work, supermans, etc.

SATURDAYS always followed up with 2nd F (fellowship) at Executive Diner on Sylvania.

    The Thang:

    Impromptu Beatdown.

    Constant movement was the goal.

    20 SSH (side straddle hops)
    20 windmills
    10-1 Ladder box jumps with merkins
    10-1 ladder incline merkins with jump squats
    Side shuffle down sidewall and back
    wind sprints with high knees
    20 SSH
    10 should tap partner sprints
    20 SSH
    150 plank jacks as a team
    indian run around park
    30 burpees as a team with SSH
    5 minutes of hell: Jog in place, fast feet with burpees, merkins, mt. climbers, jump squats, SSH for 5 minutes.

    The impromptu beatdown was a success. Each PAX left the Oasis a little bit meaner, and a little bit leaner. It was an honor to lead, even if I wasn’t supposed to.
