What the ruck is a ruck? A hike with a weighted backpack (approx 30 lbs) while stopping along the brisk walk to do some invigorating exercise. Excellent 1st F (fitness) and 2nd F (fellowship). If an FNG (Friendly New Guy) is a bit timid to post for a workout the ruck is a great intro to the pax.

Welcome – F3 Mission and 5 Core Principles
Ruck with weighted packs, two shovel flags, Betty the Bell, one painting ladder, and five 1 gallon paint cans. Nine items total so every man was always carrying something. The mission of the ruck was to help cover up some graffiti that contained profanity and slurs in Side Cut Metropark. We started with some “Squats for Tots” who was running late. The PAX performed squats with packs on until Tots arrived. We then headed out down West Indiana Ave. to cut through Fort Meigs Cemetery. We proceeded down Maumee Western Reserve to cross over the Maumee-Perrysburg Bridge and into Side Cut.
Upon reaching the planned destination on the Towpath we climbed down into the ravine to traverse over to the rocks and conduct our clean up. The climb out was steep and treacherous, but all made it. We then rucked back out of Side Cut and across the bridge. The clean up left us short on time, so we cut down Rapids Rd. and around Fort Meigs to make it back to the parking lot on time. I am proud of the work we did today and believe we left the area a much better place then when we found it.

Prayer intentions for those in Texas impacted by the hurricane and that they find strength and resilience as they rebuild. Prayer by Cobra to close out.
It was an honor to lead today and help clean up a small section of our community!
