What the ruck is a ruck? A hike with a weighted backpack (approx 30 lbs) while stopping along the brisk walk to do some invigorating exercise. Excellent 1st F (fitness) and 2nd F (fellowship). If an FNG (Friendly New Guy) is a bit timid to post for a workout the ruck is a great intro to the pax.

PAX 8 total: Bambi, Huckeberry, Bourbon, Casper, Mile High, Coal, Isosceles & Bongo
Started off with count-o-Rama, 5 core principles(Bambi shared 4 and then asked for an assist on the 5th), the disclaimer…you against you and I am definately not a professional and then separated into rhe ruck and run divisions and headed out.
The ruck kicked off with a brisk pace a half mile away to the impressive vista overlooking the bottom country some 40’ below our feet. From this lofty position the Q asked everyone to find a partner and explained that in life we all have opportunities to support others but also need to be willing to accept support ourselves. With that all teams were instructed to complete laps going up and down the hill with one PAX carrying two packs and one PAX carrying none on repeato at their own pace. This continued for several laps as the fisherman who had showed up 2 hours before first light looked on into the darkness wondering If we were a cult or ODNR undercover hoping to bust them. With 15 minutes remaining the PAX collected their own rucks and headed back to the Necropolis. By the endex we had gained a whopping 276’ in elevation with most PAX spent and wondering why the glaciers had spared the Davis Overlook.
Ended with Count-o-Rama, Name-o-Rama and CoT.
Bourbon was the six…from Kentucky, does not like bourbon, eh’d by tots, comes back for the men in this F3 community and the real relationships.

After Bambi stated the F3 mission statement and core values, the runners separated from the Ruckers. We headed down Ft Meigs road and ran to the Clock Tower at Levi’s Commons. We then ran back for a little over 5 miles total. The run was slightly modified by two PAX to meet their needs. We then rejoined the ruckers for COT. Bourban was the six. Then we did announcements and prayer intentions.
