What the ruck is a ruck? A hike with a weighted backpack (approx 30 lbs) while stopping along the brisk walk to do some invigorating exercise. Excellent 1st F (fitness) and 2nd F (fellowship). If an FNG (Friendly New Guy) is a bit timid to post for a workout the ruck is a great intro to the pax.
QIC: Hustle
Da thang: I had planned for a little more PT in the mix, but with 2 FNGs, kept it fairly simple, rucking 3.6 miles, with an Indian-style double-time walk up the parking garage at Flower hospital.
Da Pax: a solid showing this morning of 18 guys, including 2 FNGs: Bullock, El Chapo, Mickey, Splinter, Beaker, Stamper, Mater, Klinger, Extra Extra, Trapeze, Trinity, Hedgehog, Jeter, Colonel, Billy Bob, Hustle, FNG Jason ‘Vance’ Henk, and FNG Justin ‘Smails’ Maynard.
Vance was EH’d by Trinity. His name was given to him due to his work in HVAC. ‘Bob Vance’ is the character in ‘The Office’ who owns Vance Refrigeration.
Smails was EH’D by Trapeze. One of his hobbies, likings, whatever, is boating, or he just likes boats. Smails is the character in ‘The Caddyshack’. You’ll have to do a search on this if you’ve not seen the movie.
The ‘6’ was Stamper, giving the pax his rendition of what F3 means to him and its affect on him. Aye!
