Bootcamp style workout. Group will meet at the Clock Tower on Levis Commons Blvd. The Clock Tower is located in the traffic circle near Funny Bone Comedy Club. Also a great night for some fellowship. The PAX typically head out for some second F at one of the nearby establishments.

    QIC – Stark
PAX – Sipe, Houdini, TuPac, Charmin, Huckleberry, Ponzi, Isosceles, Van Gogh

    The Thang
    MesoAmerican Pyramid

    Round one
Go up the pyramid for as high of a level as possible in 8 mins. Then Q restarts timer. You repeat your top level and go back down for the next 8 mins. If you finish level one before time is up, then head back up the pyramid.
1.) (1) Lt NADs. (Lt DANs, but with reverse lunges). (2) Declined Merkins, (3) Dips
    2.) (2) Lt Nads, (4) Declined Merkins, (6) Dips
    …..
    10.) (10) Lt. Nads, (20) Declined Merkins, (30) Dips

At this point TuPac shared this might be his 600th post. And to back track to some pre workout Mumblechatter, Isosceles demonstrated a hand release Burpee. YHC LOVES burpees in every form, so we found a way to interject them into tonight’s workout. We quickly did some math and discovered that 600 divided by then 9 PAX equals 66.66666 repeating. So we aimed to each do 67 Hand Release Burpees to knock out 600 total as a group in honor of our most posted PAX Mr TuPac Bowers. YHC led the first 20 in an 8 count cadence to give us a head start on our 67 goal.

Then we moved on to round 2 of the pyramids.

Round 2 (7 mins on the way up and 6 mins to go back down since we paused for some Hand Release Burpees in cadence)
1.) (1) Hand Release Burpee, (2) Merkins, (3) Crunchy Frogs
2.) (2) Hand Release Burpees, (4) Merkins, (6) Crunchy Frogs

10.) Hand Release Burpees, (20) Merkins, (30) Crunchy Frogs

If you got to level 7 and back down you added another 56 burpees to put you well past your part of the goal to 600. Those PAX that only reached level 6 or lower still finished any remaining Burpees to do their part in honor of TuPac.

NOR, COR, the six was Sipe. And let me just point out here, sometime the PAX can get a little, let’s just say underwhelming, when they are the 6. Sometimes they are even discouraged that it is their 4th time being the 6 in a week. Being the six is an honor. It is a chance to reaffirm the reason you are taking the DRP. It is a chance to expand your fellowship and share your origin with newer PAX. And SIPE take on this honor was the best I have seen. He not only shares the origin of his name, and who EHed him, but he breaks down each of the three Fs and quickly yet thoughtfully describes what he gets from each. Then he looks directly at the Q, in this case YHC which took me by surprise, and he says something about them. The words he said to me will carry me through many tough days. It was awesome. And I will be stealing his approach. I for one can’t wait to be the six next!

Many prayers were mentioned tonight for support for friends (especially Houdini’s wife) and loved ones with cancer or sicknesses, and for mother’s trying to have a successful pregnancy. We continue to ask for understanding for the things we can’t change and stregnth to battle the things we can fight.

    Always an Honor
    Always My Pleasure
