    A total of 6 PAX attended Northview including: Sideshow, Hustle, Mercy, Brockovich, Bluto, and Balco.

    ***We used cinder blocks as weights for a change of pace.***

    The Thang:


    30 steps ups in cadence (Start with left foot on top of cinder block and switch feet in midair as you jump your right foot on to the cinder block. 3 jumps equals 1 rep.)
    30 side straddle hops in cadence
    30 weighted toe touch ab crunches (Lie on your back with your feet together in the air. Touch your toes with the cinder block as you crunch your abs.)
    30 merkins using the cinder block as a base.

    Part 1: Inverted pyramid

    Performed the following 3 exercises starting with 20 reps in the first round, followed by 19 reps in the second round, 18 reps in the third round, and so on. We used the cinder blocks for weight resistance.

    Exercise 1: Weighted military presses
    Exercise 2: Weighted squats
    Exercise 3: Merkins

    Note: We went from 20 reps down to about 13 reps before approximately 22 minutes elapsed and we moved on to Part 2 of the beatdown.

    Part 2: Faith Hill suicides

    4 cones were set up on Faith Hill. The first cone was a few yards from the base of the hill at the out of bounds line of the football field and the remaining 3 cones were set up at equal distances up the incline of the hill.

    Bear crawled from the first cone to the second cone and performed 30 jump squats before reverse bear crawling from the second cone back to the first cone. Then we bear crawled from the first cone to the third cone and performed 30 jump squats before reverse bear crawling back to the first cone. Finally, we bear crawled from the first cone to the fourth cone, performed 30 jump squats and reversed bear crawled back to the first cone to complete the first suicide run.

    On the second suicide run, sprinting replaced bear crawling, 20 reps were performed at each stop instead of 30 reps, and the exercise at each stop was decline merkins facing the base of the hill.

    We then moseyed back to the parking lot for partner relays.

    Partner relays:

    Round 1: Partner 1 performed merkins while partner 2 walked about 15 yard and back while cradling a cinder block. If partner 1 could no longer perform merkins, he switched to planking.

    Round 2: Repeat. This time partner 2 cradles 2 cinder blocks while walking instead of 1.

    We ended in a Circle of Trust. We prayed for Brockovich’s younger brother who was preparing to run a marathon. We also prayed for continued strength to be the best men we can be at home and at work.
