Affectionately coined Faith Hill since it is one of the few hills in Toledo area. Bootcamp style workout that typically takes advantage of the hill during the 45 minute beatdown.

August 26 – “Nine is Fine”

PAX — Minnie, Brita, Mickey, Klinger, Colonel, Jeter, Trinity, Scrooge, Mailman, Ollie, Mater, Danica, Dirty, Rose, Rubble, Cogsworth, Mayor, Dominican, Tweety, Tidwell, Tupac, Speedo, Smails, Johnny, Sideshow, Mole as Q.

    Q — Mole

5 core principles & the disclaimer

The Thang: The idea for the beatdown was to play 9 of Mole’s favorite songs and for each son the PAX partnered up and took turns running down and back up the hill, the PAX who was not running stayed at the top of the hill and did an exercise. The exercise move changed with each song. No breaks, we were either running or performing the exercise (or finding a partner).

    Pearl Jam, Alive – Burpees
    STP, Plush – Leg Raises
Survivor, Eye of the Tiger – Jump Squats
Mercy Me, I Can Only Imagine – Hand Release Merkins
Metallica, I Disappear – Big Boy Sit Ups
Foo Fighters, Everlong – Single Leg Squats
Social Distortion, When She Begins – Standard Merkins
Dropkick Murphys, Tessie – Mountain Climbers
Def Leppard, Animal – Alternating Lunges

It mostly went according to plan, but Mole called a stop at 6:12 to get everyone into the circle. We cut Def Leppard a little short.

The 6 – Mayor. He spoke of the message he heard in church yesterday as it focused on the discipline it takes to get through the narrow gates of heaven. He associated the discipline it takes to get to our beatdowns at 5:30 and the consistent discipline required to post at F3.

Announcements – Iron Pax challenge coming up and September ruck were mentioned.
Prayers – Brute’s family with the arrival of their new baby, our troops and first responders. That we would lead well wherever we are called to go.

It is an honor and a privilege to lead.
    Mole.
