Ottawa Park Ruck (Caddyshack)

   PAX: Dauber, Jimmy Dean, John Henry, Scrooge, and Mailman
   QIC: Mailman

   5 PAX rucked through the neighborhoods of Toledo and around the hospital. We got in 3.36 Miles. Our split times were as follows:

   Mile 1 – 16:01
   Mile 2 – 15:48
   Mile 3 – 17:48

   We missed Wolfgang as he was a last minute fartsack along with Modell who was tending to a sick kid. John Henry HC’d then de-committed only to show up 10 minutes early to the ruck. Scrooge in typical fashion was busting Mailman’s chops before even stepping foot from the parking lot.

   Good times as always at The Caddyshack, we went down the streets in one large pack, no coupons, lots of black ice, and great conversation.

   John Henry told the tale of when he had a fight with a bat in his house. Late one night he heard a strange sound. All through the home everyone was asleep. He peered into his children who were sleeping and discovered a bat flying around the room. The dog couldn’t see the bat until John Henry turned on a light. Once the light showed the bat, the dog started jumping and chomping at the bat. John Henry, like all brave fathers did what he had to do. He shut the door to his children’s room, leaving the bat and dog in the room, and went and grabbed a tennis racket. He returned and after a few swings hit the bat square on the racket. “The bat felt like a deflated tennis ball.” The bat soared across the room, hit the wall and fell to the floor. John Henry disposed of the body and returned to his slumber.

   We rucked by the hospital entrance where the security guard questioned us as to what we were doing. Mailman explained what the PAX was doing and proceeded to HC the officer. After exchanging some laughs with Toledo Hospitals finest, we made our way back to the police station.

   We prayed for confidence, patience, and to be better men.
