“Heatherdowns Hustle + Crazy Hacksaw Stuff”
Time: 5:30 AM – 6:15 AM
Location: The Field of Dreams @ Rolf Park
PAX: 14 total – Bambi, Woodstock, Ticket, Jimmy Dean, Bubba, Forest, Tupac, Dutch, Landslide, Usain, Jennay, Crablegs, Rooster, Modell.
It was a beautiful morning to kick off the 1st day of August. Air temp around 70°, wet grass and pavement from a much needed overnight shower, but with no mugginess to clog up the lungs.
Beautiful indeed, but none of this really mattered. The PAX was ready to dig into a much awaited IronPAX Challenge and other shenanigans that YHC had up his sleeve.
The morning kicked off with F3 principles and group stretching at which time the men learned about the plan for the morning. 25 hand-release Merkins, 100 yard bear crawl, 25 more hand-release Merkins, and another 100 yard bear crawl. This was a warm up for an F3IronPax challenge. Something like CrossFit meets IronMan or pain meets misery. This is also known as fun for Hacksaw.
Directions were given and the you vs. you rule was stated with examples of modifications. Lined up to start, the PAX got into the first half of the workout. Suck it did, but everyone prevailed. Rooster finished in about 3 minutes. He pushed it to the limit and almost ended up like John Henry (the storied one, not our storied PAX). He recovered though and had a safe return for COT. Bambi put in work just over 5 minutes and the rest of the PAX followed.
Due to time, the PAX skipped the Hustle down to Heatherdowns and hustled at Rolf instead. A 1/3 mile lap around the field was followed by team exercises of flutter-kicks + run and burpees and cruchy-frogs + back-peddle runs. The PAX ended the morning with 25 absolutions. Half called out by YHC and the other half called out by Woodstock.
COT: COR, NOR, KNOW-YOUR-6 (Forest talked about his appreciation of the group after being EHd all winter by Jennay), Announce-o-Rama, BOM.

The ruck was kicked off with a quick 1 mile route around Rolf Park and continued with 2+miles of weaving through the Maumee Neifhborhoods before making our way back to Rolf Park for the beatdown.
Along the way 11 rabbits were encountered, including a couple close to the Woodstock residence….There must be something in the Maumee water causing prolific reproduction.
Ended in a COT with Count-o-Rama and Name-o-Rama.
