The Thang:
Bourbon, YHC, stumbled through the mission and principles in a hazy fog of cold medicine and antibiotics. Then Q*Bert and Dutch took off for a 2.5 mile run followed by burpees to play catch up on the 50/day burpee challenge.
Jimmy Dean and Bourbon took off on a 2.6 mile ruck with a 15:39/mile average pace. We traded Old Glory as we discussed all of life’s challenges and the upcoming rucks and GoRuck Star Course. We counted a total of eight bunnies that crossed our path and crushed some glass at the sheer speed of our rucking. A good time was had by both as we put in some miles and learned more about each other.

Hybrid Theory
PAX: Bourbon, Tupac, Forrest, Bubba, Popcorn, Woodstock, Q*Bert, Dutch, Jimmy Dean (Q)
After going over the mission of F3 and the 5 core principles, the PAX got to work.
The PBG boys welcomed with open arms YHC from the north as their Q for the morning. The warm welcome quickly wore off as we got to work.
Due to time and the fun we’d be having, YHC skipped a warm-up and jumped right in, confident of the strength of the southern boys.
We moseyed to the field and circled up and YHC explained what we were going to do: 1 exercise, then another and a third one that combined elements of the 1st and 2nd exercise. As we worked through the hybrids, it became apparent that we would not complete all of what was planned out.
YHC made some adjustments and cut out two of the hybrid equations and jumped right into burpees, since, you know, burpee challenge or whatever.
The PAX was so grateful that they could get in between 60-75 burpees that they could not even verbalize it.
We finished with a quick round of Guantanamo which was new to some guys, and closed out with the Burpee Bearcrawl-tanamo before circling up.
Next was COR, NOR and know the 6. Woodstock shared how he was EH’d by Mickey during an event where F3 brothers were working a hydration station. Not once, but twice Mickey gave it his all. Apparently, it all worked out as Woodstock has shown himself to be quite the HIM and has provided leadership to the Field of Dreams and bridging over into Maumee area.
In the COT, prayers were lifted up for Tupac and Bourbon and their job load/changes as well as our troops and first responders.
Always an honor to lead this group of men who push me to be better every time I post. Special thanks to the boys down south for welcoming this guy from up north!
